Cooking philosophy
Our decision to build a Resort with a maximum capacity of 45 people allows us to provide a quality, customised service, offering you natural and fresh products every day.
We have always followed the policy of Km 0: 90% of the fresh produce is cultivated within a radius of one kilometre from the resort, benefitting the local fishing and agricultural economy: most of the fish is purchased from the fishermen of the nearby village, and the vegetables from crops without the use of herbicides, tended by the women, who are a driving force of the rural economy.
The quality of the food is important, excellent cuisine that pays great attention to the wholesomeness of the produce, and with few frills on chic decorations.
Our cuisine combines Ligurian quality produce, such as capers, olives, extra virgin olive oil, with the natural riches of Zanzibar: vegetables, tropical fruits, spices, sliced fish, octopus, squid, shrimp and lobsters.
Menu
The menu is based on the “day-fresh products”, and we combine the Swahili tradition, a fusion of Bantu, Indian and Arab culture with the Italian Mediterranean culinary tradition of Liguria: handmade ravioli stuffed with lobster, prawn and courgette gnocchi, Zanzibar stewed octopus, raw tuna with carpaccio or in tartare, and basmati rice are just some of the dishes that await you. Below you can browse our extensive à la carte menu, pizzeria menu and snack and sandwich menu, and of course the wine list.
Breakfast consists of: freshly baked local cakes and pastries, chapati (Indian bread), jam, eggs, tea, milk and coffee and tropical fruit juices selected for you every day
The chefs of Villa Dida will dedicate themselves to offering you their best delicacies, while respecting your diet and nutritional philosophy.
