Villa Dida is an Eco Resort Boutique, located in the far north on the beach of Pwani-Mchangani, an ancient fishing village, on the north-east coast of Zanzibar, the magical island of spices.
In front of the still pristine beach is the Mnemba atoll, one of the most beautiful marine parks in all of Tanzania: populated by turtles and dolphins, it is a real paradise for Diving and Snorkelling enthusiasts.
Directly on the sea, with a beautiful private beach of fine white sand, and where all the rooms face the sea, Villa Dida is the place where you will spend unforgettable holidays. Immersed in an exotic tropical garden, Villa Dida is a wonderful Eco-Resort constructed away from the mass tourist villages and away from intrusive activities. Here, you will have the opportunity to appreciate the local colours, flavours and culture, pampered in a relaxing atmosphere rich in lush vegetation, combining modern comforts with the beauty of unspoilt nature.
Villa Dida is much more than just a holiday by the sea.
Designed with the beauty and the preservation of the place in mind, Villa Dida uses local resources in a sustainable way.
The concept of bio-architecture is implemented here, prioritising the old Swahili method of construction-decoration: limestone and natural colour powders from India and Central Africa. Also from a structural point of view, it uses a Swahili reinforcement method used in the houses of Stone Town over two hundred years ago, a system of wooden beams and a small addition of iron at some load-bearing points. Constructed with natural materials and without the use of paints and with energy autonomy, Villa Dida provides a high level of comfort for a small number of guests, who can thus experience true relaxation in harmony with the environment and enjoying a personalised service. We have chosen to invest in the quality of the service, in the cuisine, in the location, for a type of clientele that avoids mass tourist villages. You can have a table laid where you want, or have the commodity of going on excursions with a maximum of 5 or 6 people. You can get massages with local treatments and traditional oils inside an African hut that we built on the sea, or walk for kilometres along an unspoilt white beach, away from the din of the all-inclusive villages with their intrusive entertainment.
The decision to have only 18 rooms, all facing the sea, was taken to ensure the highest quality service and so we can look after our guests who enter as customers and return home as our friends. The staff, who are now like a large family that has been together for over 15 years, welcome you and pamper you with the simplicity and kindness that is typical of this island, offering you all the right services needed to make your stay a pleasant one.
